Class 10

We use a class 10 cleanroom - it's as clean as a semiconductor memory plant.

Our TFT LCD line manufactures products featuring fine pixels and fine pitch wiring of approximately 3 μm, so even minute dust particles invisible to the eye can cause defects. To prevent such problems,
an extremely high-level clean room is required, class 10-cleanliness that is comparable to a semiconductor memory plant. Also, to maintain that level of cleanliness, we ask our employees to remain keenly aware of air flow control requirements and cleanroom operation and maintenance.

What Class 10 means...

Let's try to visualize this level of cleanliness. If we blow up a dust particle to the size of a soccer ball, there would be only 10 soccer balls inside a cube each side of which is 290 km (180 miles) long (the distance between Tokyo and Nagoya).

Automation

Automated systems prevent human error and boost manufacturing efficiency.

ORTUS TECHNOLOGY KOCHI CO.,LTD. employs a fully automatic transfer line in TFT array processes and has used automation since 1993 when the plant's first TFT array fabrication line was built. The automation of processes in the manufacturing of high-quality HAST displays minimizes contact by hand as much as possible, preventing human error and leading to a reduction in loss time.
